Reclaimed White Oak - Breadboard Ends
Over the years, many of our customers have expressed interest in reclaimed wood and live edge countertops. We offer several options in this category and work with a variety of trusted sources to source our solid wood materials. Because availability depends on species and what our suppliers have in stock, these countertops are typically special orders and may add lead time to your project. If a reclaimed or live edge top is of interest, please call our shop so we can discuss the details and help you bring your vision to life!

Some of the material we use to produce our reclaimed wood kitchen countertops is taken from antique spruce, fir, white pine, and hemlock timbers that have aged for over 100 years. This vintage look comes in varying thickness boards and random widths from 3″-12″. The “dirty face” is the original exposed face of the timber. This lumber has most likely been recovered from aging industrial buildings in New England. In some cases these timbers have spent over a century of their lives as structural joists: overseeing the rise and fall of America’s industrial era in New England.

Our reclaimed white oak countertops are crafted from vintage white oak boards ranging from 3″ to 9″ in width. After milling and sanding, the finished tops measure between 1 3/8″ and 1 1/2″ thick. We fill all nail holes and cracks with black epoxy to prevent spills from seeping through, though upon request, we can leave them unfilled for a more rustic, authentic look. Like our other reclaimed wood tops, these countertops carry the unique character and charm that comes with age, bringing warmth and history to your space.
*Reclaimed oak tops have a wide variety of colors and character. This is not something we can control as history has left its unique mark on every board. Therefore it is important to understand that the colors and distressing of each reclaimed board in a reclaimed top will vary.
